Horse Details

Available for full loan ideally forever home, 14.3hh rising 6 year old Chestnut gelding.

Through no fault of his own my lovely boy is back up for full loan.  He can be moved up to 4hrs away from his current location for the right home.

He is not a novice ride and has not been ridden regularly for 3 months and is therefore green. Before this he was having regular schooling and was coming along nicely. He had started jumping and had attended a jumping clinic in the summer. I feel this is something he enjoys and has potential for.

He is still very green especially since not being worked recently and needs someone who is willing and prepared to put time and effort into getting to know him. He is a project and for the right person I don’t doubt he will make a lovely all rounder but of course this will take patience and commitment.

He can be spooky and strong out on hacks and has the tendency to rush forward if something startles him. He does not buck or rear. Despite all this, he really is a very sweet boy and will excel if just given a chance to settle. Please don’t expect him to be an angel after just 2 weeks!

He hacks alone but prefers company, and needs a confident, experienced and sensitive rider to reassure him.

I feel he would settle better in a busy yard environment or someone that has a few horses and facilities. He is a friendly boy who loves a fuss and a cuddle. He can be dominant with other geldings in the field and for this reason I have kept him separated by an electric fence.

Excellent to load, teeth, shoe and clip. He is currently bare foot but was shod on the front until last month.

He is up to date with all vaccinations, teeth, feet and back.

All potential homes with be thoroughly vetted.
