For Sale £6,000 Patrick
Patrick is a very sweet 10 year old Thoroughbred gelding, who is still looking for the right person to give him the long term home he deserves. He has evented up to BE Novice, but found this a bit out of his comfort zone. Only for sale as he sadly won’t make the grade at the higher eventing levels, but would make a lovely all rounder for unaffiliated competition or BE80/90/100. Would suit a less competitive rider, as unfortunately he’s never going to be a world beater! But still plenty of scope to go out and have fun, maybe show someone the ropes who is new to eventing. He has been beautifully, professionally schooled on the flat, established in all paces with lateral work and changes. Well capable of competing at BD Novice/Elementary level. Would be ideal for Riding Club dressage teams. Loves to jump and go cross country. No problem with ditches, steps, water. Hacks alone and in company, but being full thoroughbred, is not suitable for a complete novice. Not at all strong, is ridden in a snaffle for all disciplines. Well mannered, kind natured and easy to do, he has become a yard favourite! Good to groom, clip, load, shoe etc. Prefers to live out, but is equally happy to come into the stable for a few hours and munch hay if the weather is bad! Can occasionally weave a little in the stable, but this really depends on the environment. He was stabled for most of last winter due to lack of turnout and never weaved once. However this has been taken into account in the price. Can be turned out with other horses, never bites or kicks, and loves fuss and attention from humans! Can currently be viewed near Grantham, with good trial facilities. Price negotiable. Albion GP saddle available. Must sell soon as new horse already purchased!
